A Canadian Solar announced the launch of the systemto of storage de residential energy, Cube EP. The product, designed for homes, combines a hybrid inverter, battery modules and a Smart Gateway.

“We are excited to introduce EP Cube, an industry-leading solution that redefines the residential storage experience. With its flexibility, modularity and intelligence, consumers now have a more efficient and customizable way to manage their energy,” he said Cristiano Piroli, director of Energy Storage Sales at Canadian Solar.

Another highlight of the equipment is its foptimized operation , the backup to the power grid. At a time when electricity outages have become more common in several regions of Latin America, the EP Cube, according to the company, becomes an efficient and intelligent solution to not interrupt the use of electricity in homes.

The intelligent system Smart Gateways It also guarantees better energy quality in regions where electrical grid instability is constant, keeping the plant stable and operating equipment free from unwanted outages and intermittences.

The product also offers several configurations according to the user's needs, ranging from 9,9 kWh a 19,9 kWh de storage of energy and 7,6 kW de power in a single inverter.

With the ability to connect up to six units em parallel, the EP Cube offers flexibility in system configuration, reaching up to 119,9 kWh of total storage and 45,6 kW of power.

Furthermore, the equipment has several options de application, as it can be integrated with a diesel generator, on-grid solar inverter and vehicle charger, including the operating modes: time of use, backup and self consumption.

Other features

with a design “All-in-One”, which includes inverter, energy storage module and communication system, the product has automatic configuration mode, with easy DIY installation. Plug-in connections reduce points of failure and eliminate the need for third-party materials for installation.

A protection de backup is another key differentiator, detecting outages and providing power to the entire home or to critical loads selected by the homeowner.

The system is prepared for loads that require a peak of greater power to start the operation, reaching 22 kVA by 10 seconds. All of this is managed through advanced intelligence and monitoring. According to the company, with the EP Cube App it is easy to monitor in real time and control the system through an intuitive interface.

Furthermore, the Weather Watch technology (weather watcher) allows meteorological monitoring for preventive charging in extreme weather events, together with Data Insights, which collects and immediately presents data to understand energy generation and consumption patterns.
