A Canadian Solar Latam will present, during the Intersolar South America 2022, which takes place between the 23rd and 25th of August at Expo Center Norte, in São Paulo (SP), several new features and innovations.

Among the highlights are photovoltaic modules and inverters for the distributed and centralized generation segments, in addition to its new release, the CSI App, together with the loyalty program for integrators and installers, the CSI Rewards.

Innovation in modules

The main novelty among module releases is the N-Type and TOPCon photovoltaic cell technology, which combined are especially powerful when applied to bifacial modules, where together they obtain greater synergy and provide a greater bifaciality factor, generating even greater power.

According to the company, the big change brought by N-Type technology, which replaces the current P-Type cells, is the cell polarity inversion, which results in lower levels of degradation and increased current.

TOPCon technology improves cell passivation, which generates a lower level of carrier recombination and greater internal reflectivity of the cell.

This new technology It also saves space and offers significant gains in energy generation and energy reduction. LCOE (levelized energy cost) as well as reduces operating temperature. This is one of several technological innovations that Canadian Solar will bring to the Latin American market.

Factory will produce 200 thousand tons of polysilicon and 10 GW of PV cells

More news

Also on display at the stand will be the panels now available for sale in Brazil for the distributed generation segment, including o CS6W-MS, with power options between 540 W and 550 W and the CS7N-MB-AG, with up to 665 W of power.

Will also be presented other launches that will hit the market from 2023, such as the CS6R-H-AG models, which use HJT technology, and the CS6X-P-PLUS, which will be important for replacing damaged modules or complementing older generators.

Regarding the segment of centralized generation the company will present, in addition to the current line, which offers powers of up to 665 W, the TOPCon line with the CS7N-TB-AG-bifacial, with powers of up to 690 W.

New generation of inverters

During the event, visitors will be able to see the single-phase inverter models, with output powers from 5 kW to 9 kW; three-phase at 220 V from 15 kW to 30 kW and three-phase at 380 V from 15 kW to 110 kW, in addition to the inverters aimed at large plants, with powers from 125 kW to 250 kW.

CSI App Launch

Canadian also highlighted that it developed a application for Android and iOS cell phones, through which sector professionals will have easier contact with the company and will be able to access training and technical support, consult products and stay up to date with sector news.

Furthermore, the app will be linked to CSI Rewards, a program that aims to provide an additional incentive to integrators who choose Canadian Solar equipment. Initially, the program will be available for the line of photovoltaic inverters sold through Distribution partners.

According to the company, it works as follows: every time professionals purchase a Canadian inverter, simply access the App and register the equipment's serial number to receive the corresponding score.

The points can be consulted via the CSI App and exchanged for, among others, face-to-face training and technical consultancy, discounts are available with distributors for the purchase of Canadian Solar equipment. In addition, CSI points can also be exchanged for the same amount of points in the LIVELO program.

As an additional launch incentive, the The company will be awarding double points to all products registered by October 31, 2022, and will award an amount of 100 points to all accounts registered during the Intersolar period.

Pedro Alves, general manager of Canadian Solar Latam, highlighted the importance of the fair for the sector. “This meeting is of fundamental relevance, so that Brazil can get to know up close the latest in solar energy systems, sustainable alternatives and technical content of an energy source, which is already a reality and which in the not so distant future will become the main energy matrix in the world”, he explains.

The Chinese-Canadian company is present in one of the largest solar projects in the world, which is being built here in Brazil, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, built by Voltalia: Solar Serra do Mel 1 and Solar Serra do Mel 2, which together total 320 MW and use full technology from Canadian Solar.

Canadian receives global certification

Another point highlighted by the company is that it has just received one of the most important worldwide certifications on its high-power panels (up to 670 W), which attests to total reliability, high quality and 3% lower LCOE.

This recognition was carried out by DNV, an independent company and world leader in product certification, risk management and guarantee.
