A Clear reached the mark of 200 MW of energy production from renewable sources, such as solar, hydroelectric, biogas and qualified cogeneration, by means of SCHEDULE Claro Energy.
Implemented in 2017, the initiative account currently on 85 power plants distributed generation scattered in 14 Brazilian states: Bahia, Goiás, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Pará, Pernambuco, Piauí, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná, Santa Catarina, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and the Federal District.
O program aims generate more than 1 GWh per year coming from renewable sources in 2023, which is equivalent to 80% of the energy consumed in all operations and facilities plans telephone in Brazil.
Until now, the company program avoided the emission of more than 500 thousand tons of CO2. “Claro is committed to reducing the emission of pollutants into the atmosphere and, in doing so, contributing to the control of climate change”, highlights Claro.

The objective in this segment is to meet 100% of consumption in medium voltage units with the sum of initiatives, ensuring that data centers, administrative buildings and large operations use only clean energy.
