Enel SP was the electricity distributor that regressed the most in the ranking of large-scale concessionaires. ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) in 2025, published this Wednesday (15).

The dealership dropped nine positions compared to the previous survey and now occupies the 30th position among the 33 companies with more than 400 customers in the country.

The ranking takes into account indicators of continuity of energy supply, such as the frequency and duration of interruptions, gathered in the DGC (Overall Continuity Performance) index.

Consumers were without power for an average of 9 hours and 18 minutes in 2025, it says. ANEEL

Responsible for serving more than 8 million consumer units in 24 municipalities in the Metropolitan Region, the São Paulo-based distributor is also at the center of a more rigorous regulatory evaluation.

At the beginning of the month, ANEEL authorized the initiation of a process that could result in the early termination of the company's concession contract. The measure was motivated by the recent history of supply failures, including episodes of prolonged blackouts.

ANEEL opens a process that could lead to the revocation of Enel's license in São Paulo.

What does Enel SP say?

In a statement, Enel SP said that the ranking of ANEEL It takes into account different regulatory limits for each concession. "In São Paulo, for example, these limits are more stringent, which means that the ranking does not reflect the reality of the quality indicators," he stressed.

The company also reaffirmed its commitment to the service provided to its customers. "Enel emphasizes that the absolute quality indicators of its three distributors (Enel Rio, Enel Ceará and Enel São Paulo) are better than the national average."
