The Federal Revenue Service, together with the Federal Police, launched Operation Pleonexia today, with the aim of dismantling a criminal organization specialized in crimes against the national financial system and money laundering.
In total, one preventive arrest warrant and 18 search and seizure warrants were served in the cities of Natal (RN), Barueri (SP) and Goiânia (GO), issued by the 14th Federal Court of the Judicial Section of Rio Grande do Norte. The action involves 52 federal police officers and 12 Federal Revenue Service employees.
The company under investigation, Alpha Energy Capital, promoted the raising of funds from investors under the promise of returns well above those practiced on the market, supposedly obtained through the sale of solar energy credits.
The group attracted people from different regions of the country, promising to pay a monthly return of between 4% and 5% – which proved to be unsustainable and showed strong signs of fraud.
In the portfolio aimed at potential investors, the company disclosed the existence of eleven solar power plants, with a generation capacity of 1.266.720 kWh/month.
However, the investigation revealed the existence of only one plant effectively connected to the local energy distributor's grid, having generated only 28.325 kWh.
According to ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), the company under investigation does not own any regular energy generation project and does not have a request for a license in progress in its name.
According to CCEE (Electric Energy Trading Chamber), the company is not included in the entity's list of associates, a mandatory condition for trading electricity in the Free Energy Market, in accordance with sectoral standards.
For the Federal Police, the investigations clearly demonstrated that most of the funds raised by the company under investigation were diverted to the acquisition of real estate, high-end vehicles, jewelry and other luxury items.
The illicit amount moved would have exceeded R$151 million, with resources coming from approximately 6,3 thousand people, distributed across 732 Brazilian municipalities.
In light of the evidence, the Court ordered the freezing of R$244 million in assets belonging to those involved, with a view to compensating potential victims and paying fines and legal costs.
The investigation also found that the leader of the criminal organization, who was preventively arrested today, already has a conviction for international drug trafficking and is facing charges of fraud, crimes against the popular economy and money laundering, due to a scam allegedly carried out in 2021, involving the fraudulent raising of funds through a sports betting platform.
Given his criminal past, the suspect allegedly concealed his involvement in the company, using third parties to publicize the false investment opportunity in the media and enter into fraudulent contracts.

Have you noticed that in the current government the federal police, the federal public ministry, the PGR, the ministry of economy have been firmly committed to combating corruption, as well as the STF through the ministers most active in this task?
I saw and realized that the person was not trustworthy and also that the proposed income would be incompatible, but in our country it is impossible to prevent scams, dishonesty has a vast chance of advancing, thanks to our way of wanting GERSON'S LAW...of EASY gain.
