MME extends project registration deadline for Auction A-4

Interested parties will have until January 24th to register generation projects with EPE

The deadline for registering generation projects in the “A-4” Auction – Auction for the Purchase of Electricity from New Generation Projects – 2022 has been extended until 12pm next Monday (24).

The measure was published by the MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy) in Normative Ordinance No. 36/GM/MME.

Wind, photovoltaic, thermoelectric and hydroelectric projects can participate in the auction.

Interested parties must register the projects with EPE (Energy Research Company), through the AEGE System, and send the necessary documents for qualification by 12pm on January 24th.

According to the MME, entrepreneurs whose projects have been approved by EPE for the purpose of participating in the Nova A-5 Energy Auction, from 2021, may request the registration of their respective projects, being exempt from resubmitting documents, as long as the parameters, technical characteristics and other information of the aforementioned projects remain unchanged.

The published ordinance also seeks to adjust the publication date of the Technical Note on Quantitative Remaining Capacity of the SIN (National Interconnected System) for Generation Flow, which must be published by the ONS (National System Operator) by March 26, 2022.
