Increase amenities for guests and generate a annual energy savings of R$400 thousand. These are the objectives of Águas de Palmas Resort and Hotel, in Santa Catarina, which invested in the installation of a carport of 443,085 kWp.
The project, carried out by Reevisa Solar Energy, aims to offset the resort's monthly expenditure on electricity, which is in the range of R$40 to R$46, and provide monthly generation of 47.300 kWh, representing savings of R$33,5 thousand per month.
To achieve this, the system has 813 modules and three inverters (two 110 kW and one 75 kW) from Renew. Installing the RenoCharger, a charger for the company's electric vehicles, was another guest amenity aligned with the carport, which provides approximately 100 covered parking spaces.
Second Gabriel Rodrigues Brandão, Product Development analyst at Renovigi, the investment also boosts green marketing, highlighting the resort hotel's commitment to sustainability.
“In addition, it expands the profile of customers served, as it becomes attractive for guests with electric cars, who have the comfort of a charged vehicle while enjoying the programming and accommodations at Águas de Palmas”, he highlighted.
Surrounded by the natural scenery of the Santa Catarina coast, in an area of 240 thousand m² between sea and mountains, the resort hotel is located in Governador Celso Ramos, approximately 50 km from Florianópolis – the Brazilian city with the largest installed capacity (314,6 MW), according to the ABSOLAR (Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association).
