O Santander this week began offering the account holders from 14 Brazilian states access to clean and renewable energy by shared generation, with cost savings on the electricity bill through solar farms spread across Brazil.
Thus, small and medium-sized businesses or residential consumers who – for whatever reason – are unwilling or unable to install their own solar systems already can join the GD consortium (distributed generation) from FIT Energia, a related company of the bank.
Without any type of work or investment, those interested will start consuming energy, with savings compared to the distributor's tariff. O The membership process is free and 100% digital.
To participate, the interested customer must complete a pre-register for this website and attach a recent electricity bill and the requested documentation so that FIT can check if there is availability in the region.
Once entry into the system is approved, the customer will start consuming clean, renewable energy and saving on their electricity bills. A expectation is that until the end of the year, service is expanded to 20 states and the Federal District.
“The offer, which includes both individuals and small and medium-sized companies, reinforces our socio-environmental commitment and proves that Santander is committed to serving and benefiting customers in all spheres”, said Geraldo Rodrigues Neto, director of individuals at Santander Brasil .
The states where Santander customers can now take advantage of the benefit are: Alagoas; Bahia; Ceará; Large northern river; Holy Spirit; Goiás; Minas Gerais; Mato Grosso; Pernambuco; Piauí; Paraná; Rio de Janeiro; Rio Grande do Sul and São Paulo.
