O ministro de Minas e Energia, Alexandre Silveira, foi convocado pela Comissão de Minas e Energia da Câmara dos Deputados para prestar esclarecimentos sobre a proposta do Governo Federal de antecipar a entrada em operação de termelétricas contratadas no LRCAP (Leilão de Reserva de Capacidade) de 2026.

O colegiado havia convidado o ministro para discutir o tema na última quarta-feira (27). Como Silveira não compareceu à reunião, os deputados aprovaram sua convocação formal, a pedido do deputado Evair Vieira de Melo (Republicanos-ES).

Além da proposta relacionada às termelétricas, o ministro também deverá responder a questionamentos sobre outros assuntos relacionados à atuação do Ministério. A audiência está marcada para a próxima terça-feira (2), às 10h.

Desde a realização do LRCAP, em março de 2026, o MME vem defendendo a possibilidade de antecipar a entrada em operação de termelétricas contratadas no leilão. A justificativa é reforçar a segurança do sistema elétrico nacional e reduzir riscos de déficit de potência nos próximos anos.

No entanto, a proposta vem gerando questionamentos de parlamentares e agentes do setor sobre possíveis impactos nas tarifas de energia, nos encargos setoriais, nos critérios de escolha dos empreendimentos e na segurança jurídica dos contratos firmados no certame.

“A antecipação de contratos firmados em leilão regulado pode produzir impactos expressivos sobre tarifas de energia, encargos setoriais e segurança jurídica”, afirmou Vieira de Melo, ao justificar a convocação de Silveira.
