Solar energy franchise is a positive option in a new economic scenario

For Sandro Cubas, the difference of a solar energy franchise is that franchisees receive specialized ongoing training, in addition to the necessary support

Faced with social isolation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, investors who opted for the home office solar energy franchise have managed to do good business.

This model was the one that stood out most in times of economic crisis, with an increase of 15% in the last year, according to the ABF (Brazilian Franchising Association).

The low financial investment and quick return – compared to other franchise models – in addition to not needing a commercial location, purchasing equipment and hiring employees, are the main factors for this growth.

Entrepreneur Diego Cuellar, a Solarprime franchisee operating in Novo Horizonte (SP), states that he has been successful in the home-office modality, but that it took a lot of study beforehand.

“It took two months of studying, comparing, understanding and deciding whether it would be the right choice or not. We paid a visit to the headquarters in Campinas, to learn about the company's working model, which gave us more confidence and led us to our decision-making. Today, seeing the satisfaction of our customers, developing sustainable work that generates savings for them, and being able to be with our family, makes it clear that we made the right choice”, says Cuellar.

The franchisee also highlights that, in times of care to prevent the spread of coronavirus, the home-office experience has helped him to keep his work active and profitable. “

We are focusing on actively attracting customers through Google and telephone contact, so we have less exposure”, he comments. Like Cuellar, entrepreneur Maria Dolores Carvalho, from Jussara (GO), has provided customer service through remote work.

“Our priority has always been the customer, which is why we offer the ease of going to them. On these complicated days, when we are working from home, we are able to close deals over the phone. We have even more budget presentations scheduled. We are taking all the necessary precautions and, even in a small town, we are working hard on our franchise”, says Maria.

For Sandro Cubas, franchise manager at Solarprime, the difference with a solar energy franchise is that franchisees receive specialized ongoing training and have the necessary support to start the business.

"You can start it in an office in your home, without needing to invest heavily in a store at the moment, receiving the necessary training to deal with all issues related to the business such as sales, marketing, management and technical training. There is also a team of specialists available to franchisees, an experienced engineering team and commercial and technical consultants”, explains Cubas.
