TIM projects to have 100 clean energy plants by the end of 2023

The operator already has 64 projects, 15 of which were incorporated in the first quarter of this year

A TIM Brasil announced that it will expand its generation project using renewable sources to supply its operational bases. The idea is to have 100 projects in operation by December this year, with a predominance of photovoltaic plants.

Currently, the company telephone has 64 clean energy plants in operation, with 50% of your total consumption being generated from these units. THE remaining of production comes from acquisitions on Mercado Livre and the purchase of renewable energy certificates. 

A operator reported reached the brand of 100% clean energy in your consumption in early 2021. “We have invested in renewable energy since 2017 and we already have plants in 18 states and the Federal District. By the end of the year, we intend to further reinforce our ESG agenda”, says Bruno Gentil, vice president of corporate resources at the company.

No first quarter of this year, TIM incorporated 15 new renewable energy units of 3.000 MWh to its portfolio. The projects began operating in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, Minas Gerais, Santa Catarina and Mato Grosso do Sul.

With these new units, the company has 18 commercial partners, including large companies such as Faro Energy, Gaswatt Energia and Hy Brazil Energia, as well as smaller suppliers such as Fotosíntese Tecnologia Solar and Progressul Sistemas de Energia.
