Helexia Brasil, a company that operates in the energy transition segment, began the construction of 17 decentralized solar plants to supply the facilities of the Living, a Brazilian mobile phone company.

The photovoltaic systems will be installed in the states of Rondônia, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná, São Paulo and Ceará, with commercial operation scheduled for the first half of 2022.

Under the agreement signed, the units will supply energy to more than 5 of the operator's consumption points, under a 20-year contract.

The total installed capacity of 60 MW will allow the plants to generate solar energy equivalent to supplying a city with around 24 thousand families.

Furthermore, all electricity produced will be injected into the SIN (Integrated National System) and will be transformed into credit for Telefônica, Vivo's controlling company.

“We are fully committed to making this contract a success that will serve as a reference for our future projects in Brazil, using all our experience in developing power generation projects,” said Hans Vander Velpen, director of operations and business development at Helexia Brazil.

According to the executive, the new projects include better land prospecting, with analyzes that take into account criteria such as the available surface, the feasibility and cost of connecting to the grid, the environmental impact and local regulations. “Everything to contribute to Vivo’s objectives in sustainability and combating climate change”, he highlighted.

The idea is great but are they thinking about security?? Many systems will be targeted by criminals.
