For the second week consecutiva, wafer price in the international market fell. That's what the weekly newsletter da InfoLink Consulting, released this Thursday (21).

A greater oscillation was worth the 182 mm P-Type wafers, which suffered a 4,8% drop, selling for US$0,236 per piece.

Meanwhile, 210mm P-Type wafers 3,6%, with each piece being sold at US$0,325.

The survey also points out that the stocks of wafers continued to increase, getting at four billion pieces last week. A production should not decreaseAccording to InfoLink Consulting.

Due to the time required for adjustments, both in production plans and the reduction in inventories, the circulation of wafers should only be impacted from the mid April.

With current planning, prices should continue to fall over the next few weeks in evaluating the international report.

Check out these and other highlights from the global photovoltaic chain in the new weekly newsletter from InfoLink Consulting.

Cells

Production of photovoltaic cells remained stable, with manufacturers holding a week of stocks, a stark contrast to the wafer sector.

Despite the maintenance of cell prices this week, the consultancy predicts a drop of up to 3% in cell prices next week. This forecast includes both TOPCon and Type-P technology.

Solutions

Module values remained stable, although some manufacturers still seek to increase prices. Even with the “pessimism” regarding other inputs and components, the price of the modules should not undergo major changes in InfoLink Consulting’s understanding.
