Wilson Ferreira Jr. is the new independent chairman of the Board of Directors of Matrix Energia. With over 40 years of experience in the electricity sector, executive has already acted as CEO of large companies, such as CPFL Energy, Eletrobras e Vibra.
According to Matrix, Ferreira's entry significantly strengthens the company's corporate governance, in addition to contributing to guiding strategic decisions, ensuring the necessary support for the organization's sustainable growth.
The Matrix is one of the biggest energy traders in Brazil, also working in distributed generation and energy storage. In distributed generation, a company has 120 MW em own assets e closest 400 MW leased, with the goal of reaching 70 thousand low voltage consumers by the end of 2024.
Furthermore, it is implementing energy storage systems (BESS) projects, with a forecast to install 750 MWh by 2027, in partnership with Huawei.
