A study conducted by Bulbe Energia showed greater female participation in the search terms "subscription-based solar energy" and "photovoltaic solar energy" on Google Brazil. However, for the term "off-grid solar energy," the distribution was practically balanced between men and women.
The survey analyzed interest in the three terms on Google, Google News, and Google Shopping between August 2025 and July 2026, also considering the distribution of users by gender and age group.
The breakdown by age shows an even greater concentration: 58,1% of interest in the term was among people aged 35 to 44, while 41,9% corresponded to the 25 to 34 age group. No participation was identified among people aged 45 to 54 in the presented data.
The numbers indicate that, among the three expressions evaluated, the search for solar energy by subscription presented the most concentrated age profile, restricted to the two age groups between 25 and 44 years considered in the survey.
Photovoltaics is of greatest interest to people aged 45 to 54.
The profile changes when searching for "photovoltaic solar energy." In this case, the older the age range analyzed, the greater the participation in the searches.
According to the study, people aged 45 to 54 accounted for 46,7% of the identified interest, followed by the 35 to 44 age group with 32,2%, and the 25 to 34 age group with 21%.
The difference between the extremes reaches 25,7 percentage points: the participation rate of the 45-54 age group is more than double the 21% recorded among people aged 25-34.
The female predominance is also more pronounced in this field. Women accounted for 58,8% of the interest in photovoltaic solar energy, while men accounted for 41,2%.
Among the three terms analyzed, therefore, photovoltaic solar energy showed the highest female participation, 2,6 percentage points above the 56,2% recorded for subscription-based solar energy.
Bulbe's survey suggests that the age profile of those searching for photovoltaic technology is more distributed than that observed in subscription-based energy, with participation across all three age groups analyzed.
Off-grid sports offer a better balance between men and women.
The most balanced distribution by gender appeared in searches for "off-grid solar energy." Men accounted for 50,8% of interest, while women accounted for 49,2%, a difference of only 1,6 percentage points.
By age, the highest participation was again among people aged 35 to 44, who accounted for 48,3% of the interest. Next were consumers aged 25 to 34, with 37,2%.
The 45-54 age group accounted for 14,5%, a significantly lower percentage than the 46,7% recorded by the same group in searches for photovoltaic solar energy.
