The German Tier 1 solar module manufacturer Solar AE expanded its line of monocrystalline photovoltaic modules and presented a rebranding of its photovoltaic panels, which are now called Aurora.

The line includes three different categories of panels: Aurora Monofacial, Aurora Bifacial double-glass and Aurora Bifacial glass-transparent backsheet. The series includes panels in powers from 335 W to 665 W, with efficiency of 19,88% to 21,4% and has different cell sizes of 166 mm, 182 mm and 210 mm.

According to Ramon Nuche, director of AE Solar in Brazil, the change was made to keep up with the innovations developed by the company. “AE Solar’s product development team is constantly working to offer new, updated versions of photovoltaic modules in order to extend guarantees to our customers in terms of greater durability, reliability and higher energy yield,” he said.

“In addition to the expansion to higher powers, the entire line of Aurora photovoltaic modules had its product warranty extended to 15 years, along with a 30-year performance guarantee, all of this assured by a world-famous insurance institution, Ariel Re from Lloyd's London,” added Nuche.

According to Alexander Maier, CEO of AE Solar, series like Aurora contribute greater energy and efficiency to customer needs. “Ancient people believed that Aurora was a gift from benevolent gods, providing high yield and power,” he explained.

According to the manufacturer, AE Solar's Aurora panels are certified according to international standards, which include IEC 61215 and 61730, IEC 62716 (ammonia resistant), IEC 61701 (salt spray corrosion resistant), IEC 60068 (sand and dust resistant) and also IEC 62804 (power induced degradation). The certifications include the test mark TÜV Rhineland and also ISO certification.
