Comerc Energia, a company that operates mainly in the sale of electricity, announced this Tuesday (23) the hiring of André Dorf, former president of CPFL and the highway concessionaire Arteris, to assume the role of Co-CEO of the entity. On his resume, the professional also has experience at JP Morgan bank and Suzano Papel e Celulose.
Dorf's hiring comes days after funds controlled by the resource manager Mercury Perfin agreed to purchase a 20% stake in Comerc for R$200 million, in a transaction that became public late last Friday night (20). Through the deal, Perfin funds now have a stake in all Comerc companies.

In 2020, the electricity supplier ended the year with revenue of approximately R$4 billion. Currently, the company has twelve business units and a portfolio made up of more than 3 thousand consumer units belonging to approximately 1,5 thousand companies.
“The free energy market has experienced great evolution in recent years, and Comerc anticipated this movement, developing companies, solutions and arrangements that offer the best alternatives to the free consumer. Now is the time to consolidate this business platform and it will be a great pleasure to be part of this”, stated Dorf.
According to Cristopher Vlavianos, founder and current president of Comerc, Dorf's arrival occurs at the company's best phase. “With Perfin’s contribution, it will be possible to further improve our portfolio of solutions, developing products and bringing them to customers in a customized way”, he commented.
Founded in 2001, Comerc works with the purchase and sale of energy on the free market and in the management of clients who operate in the sector, such as consumers and generators. The entity also has business units focused on technology, information and solar energy, as well as investments in a battery company.
Perfin controls investment funds, some of which focus on energy assets, including transmission lines. The million-dollar investment in Comerc will be made through the manager's funds, which have been developing wind and solar generation projects.
