After several occurrences of interruption in the electricity supply due to extreme weather events, the ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) Grant Grant 002/2024.
The Agency's objective is to assess the need for regulatory intervention associated with increasing the resilience of the distribution and transmission system to extreme weather events.

Measures and recommendations
Na Technical Note 7/2024 from STD-SFT/ANEEL, the Agency does recommendations for companies operating in the transmission of electrical energy. The main ones being:
- Review the list of supplier contacts every six months;
- Prepare a distribution map for spare equipment;
- Feed back the process with a view to adding improvements and improvements to the contingency plan;
- Quickly replenish the spare parts stock;
- Prepare a contingency plan for phase loss of transformers or reactors;
- Possibility of sharing emergency structures between Transmitters;
- Carry out simulated training using the DRILL model;
- Identify critical areas for tower reconstruction;
- Map and document the location of all reserve transformer and reactor units available in the concession;
- Detail procedures for main equipment in the plans.
