The auction results show a maturation of the wind and solar source. Wind power, the big winner of the auction, won 44 projects that together surpass the 1 GW mark. The energy from the source obtained a price well below the average auction price – R$ 98,89 /MWh.
The solar plants, which together total 11 projects, totaled 530 MW of installed power, at the lowest cost among all other sources in the auction – R$ 84,39 / MWh.
