From January 2024, small and medium-sized companies that contract high voltage energy, and which are therefore part of the so-called group A, will be able to migrate to the free energy market and save up to 35% on your electricity bill.

Taking advantage of the segment's growth momentum and the opportunity to have more savings combined with sustainability with carbon credits and new investors, several companies in the Northeast Region are adhering to the free market through 2W Ecobank.

Currently, the Northeast has around 23 thousand companiesthose that could already migrate to the free energy market. The benefits of this contracting environment include potential tariff savings, migration to renewable energy, greater control and more efficient use of the resource.

Industries in general, supermarkets, retail and wholesale trade and condominiums, are examples of sectors for which migration is very advantageous. “The migration to the free energy market represents a great opportunity for around 23 thousand consumers in the Northeast region who were previously restricted to the captive market.”

“Companies that want to maintain their development need to think about guaranteeing their energy in sustainable ways”, said Rodrigo Silveira, head of Business Development at 2W in the Northeast Region.

“We aim to empower consumers and give them the power of choice, providing attractive discounts of up to 30%, without the need for any investment on the part of the customer. These new companies that migrate to the free market are now part of the sustainable ecosystem”, he highlighted.

In recent weeks, 2W has once again expanded the number of customers in the Northeast region, reaching the mark of 218 consumer units (171 customers) in the first week of November, a growth of 110% since January/2023.

Several companies are looking for a free contracting environment, mainly in the hotel and supermarket sectors, as well as ceramics companies. In Alagoas, three hotel chains joined the free market with 2W in recent weeks.

The “Coqueiros Express Hotel”, in Maceió, migrated to the free market and plans to save R$ 188 thousand, from now on using clean energy and thus avoiding the emission of 44 tons of CO2 into nature.

The “Hotel Sete Coqueiros”, also located in the capital of Alagoas, adheres to sustainable practices and will save R$655 on energy and avoid the emission of 225 tons of CO2 into nature. The “Marinas Maceió Hotel” will save R$415 on energy and avoid the emission of 140 tons of CO2.
