The smarter E Europe, which will be held from June 18 to 21 in Munich, Germany, will bring together four conferences that will address the latest developments in the global energy market.
In total, there will be four parallel events, held on June 18th and 19th: Intersolar Europe Conference; ees Europe Conference; Power2Drive Europe Conference; and EM-Power Europe Conference.
According to ©Solar Promotion GmbH, organizer of The smarter E Europe, more than 2.200 participants are expected at the conferences, which will bring together leading industry experts.
Topics include, for example, decentralization; digitalization and sectoral coupling of energy supply; technological trends in photovoltaics and energy storage; and the latest charging technologies for EVs (electric vehicles).
Intersolar Europe Conference
As solar energy continues its strong global growth trajectory, exceeding all expectations, some obstacles are emerging on the long road to completing the energy transition. The question is: what is needed to unlock the full potential of solar energy in Europe and the world, and what can realistically be achieved?
These will be some of the topics that will be discussed at the Intersolar Europe Conference. Among the highlights are lectures on global and European decarbonization strategies; technological trends to reduce costs and improve the functionality of photovoltaic equipment; how to harness Europe’s potential for solar in agriculture; and digitalization to accelerate off-grid projects.
The conference will feature experts such as: Michael Schmela, Executive Advisor at SolarPower Europe; Juan Rivier, Head of Global Regulation at Iberdrola; Rodrigo Sawaia, CEO of ABSOLAR (Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy); Joe Steveni, Research Analyst – Clean Energy Technology at S&P Global; and Jessica Berneiser, Researcher at Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE.
a Europe
Storage is rapidly growing in importance at every point in the energy supply chain. Likewise, electric mobility is gaining momentum globally. The biggest need for both is to fuel the demand for storage facilities and grid connectivity.
Where are the most promising markets for energy storage? What financing schemes are to be applied and what are the innovative and viable forms of financing? Which actors are defining industry best practices with transferable business models?
These topics will be discussed in ess Europe Conference. Highlights include content on the BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) supply chain; innovations in battery technology; exceptional energy storage projects in Europe; and what are the implications of the new EU (European Union) battery regulation.
The conference will feature the participation of names such as: Corrine Lin, Chairman and Chief Analyst at InfoLink Consulting; Anna Darmani, Lead Analyst – Energy Storage Europe at Wood Mackenzie; Susan Taylor, Senior Analyst at S&P Global; and Roman Alberti, Managing Director of Voltfang GmbH.
Power2Drive Europe Conference
According to ©Solar Promotion GmbH, for electric mobility to prevail, there is one imperative that stands out above all others: the need for charging infrastructures with full geographic coverage.
Which markets are most promising? What business and revenue models are driving the sector? What are the regulatory frameworks and how can network integration be successful?
A Power2Drive Europe Conference will discuss the topics, in addition to lectures on charging infrastructure; development of batteries for electric vehicles; and international market perspectives.
Marie Rajon Bernard, Researcher at ICCT (International Council on Clean Transportation); Uwe Augustat, Head of Vertical Solutions at Siemens AG; and Savannah Altvater, Head of Distribution & Market Facilitation at Eurelectric, will be some of the experts present.
EM-Power Europe Conference
The rapid expansion of renewable energy and the growing popularity of electric vehicles are having a considerable impact on transmission and distribution networks.
What role should energy storage systems, sector coupling and the integration of prosumers and consumers in the energy system play? And how can we benefit from its flexibility to ease the load on networks?
These will be some of the questions answered in the EM-Power Europe Conference, in addition to having content on the role of network infrastructure; of market participants and digitalization in meeting consumer expectations; and the integration of electric mobility and its impact on networks.
Names such as Begoña Cubian, Specialist New Initiatives – Sustainable Mobility – from Iberdrola will be present; Manuel Navarro, Sales Manager at Siemens SA; and Patrick Clerens, Secretary General of The European Association for Storage of Energy
