The extratropical cyclone's passage through Rio Grande do Sul continues to impact the state's northern coast. Even four days after the weather event, approximately 5 CEEE Equatorial customers remain without power.

The supply was interrupted last Monday (28), affecting more than 430 thousand consumer units. The concessionaire managed to restore most of the service throughout the week, but some regions still face long periods of instability, especially in municipalities such as Capão da Canoa, Cidreira, Arroio do Sal and Balneário Pinhal.

According to the distributor, teams remain mobilized to normalize service after the cyclone passed, but the damage caused by strong winds, fallen trees and damaged structures has made access to more critical areas difficult.

The case reignites the debate about the resilience of electrical infrastructure in the face of extreme weather events, which have become increasingly frequent in Brazil. The distributor's official channels remain available for reporting incidents, including via WhatsApp, an app, and a call center.
