DAH Solar starts production of TOPCon cells

By the end of this year, the manufacturer Dah Solar estimates to produce 5,5 GW of solar cells and 2,5 GW of photovoltaic modules, both with TOPCon technology. Production will be carried out at the company's TOPCon manufacturing base located in Chaohu City, Anhui, China.

“As our brand is well accepted around the world, the demand for our high-efficiency solar product continues to increase. Last year, compared to 2020, the sales growth rate was 60%,” he said.

“This year, we expect a sales increase of around 90%. The production of TOPCon products will help us achieve production capabilities and deliver our high-value solar solutions to global consumers,” highlights Xue.

According to him, the production of TOPCon modules has strategic significance. “This leading solar cell technology will be applied to our innovative Full-Screen PV Module and SolarUnit products.”

The executive also highlights that DAH Solar's development philosophy is to insist on boosting business cultivation with technological innovation. “We seek to apply leading solar cell technology to our solar solution and increase return on investment (ROI) for global users. TOPCon photovoltaic modules

DAH Solar points out that the modules have the following advantages:

• Compared to PERC modules, TOPCon photovoltaic modules can generate more than 3% energy per watt;
• TOPCon solar cell technology can be applied to full-screen PV modules and increase power generation by 6-15%, compared with regular TOPCon PV modules;
• TOPCon PV module has a lower degradation rate and anti-PID performance;
• The lower temperature coefficient can enable the TOPCon PV module to generate more power in a high temperature environment;
