Based on observations of the Brazilian market and practical experience in field projects, AdvanSol officially launches the Data Control Box V2.5 (Control Box), a data control center designed for module-level systems, serving both large-scale photovoltaic plants and distributed solar projects.
Integrated design
The AdvanSol Data Control Box utilizes a transparent industrial enclosure with an integrated structural design, combining shutdown control, data acquisition, and signal distribution in a single unit.
According to the company, no complex field assembly is required, allowing for plug-and-play installation and significantly reducing installation and commissioning costs. Clear visual indicators allow for quick identification of equipment status, making it ideal for EPC projects in Brazil, where delivery efficiency is essential.
Super-HPLC
To meet the typical characteristics of Brazilian photovoltaic plants—large scale, long strings, and dispersed layouts—AdvanSol independently developed and implemented enhanced Super-HPLC power line communication technology.
With no need for additional communication cables, there is no distance limitation between the Data Control Box and module-level devices, ensuring stable, long-range data transmission, even in complex operating environments.
Centralized management of multiple strings
The AdvanSol Data Control Box offers flexible configurations, adapting to projects ranging from distributed photovoltaic systems to large-scale solar power plants.
According to the company, a communication ring can manage multiple strings, and a unit can be equipped with one or more rings, allowing control of more than 30 strings per device, significantly reducing the number of devices, system complexity, and the total cost of the solution.
IP65 degree of protection
Designed to operate under intense solar radiation, high humidity, dust, and heavy rain, the AdvanSol Data Control Box has an IP65 protection rating, making it resistant to water, dust, and UV radiation. This ensures stable and reliable operation in harsh weather conditions, meeting the diverse environmental realities of Brazil.
Integrated architecture
AdvanSol integrates shutdown control, data acquisition, and signal transmission into a single Data Control Box. With local data storage, the equipment supports up to 7 days of local flash memory, preserving operational information even in case of communication failures, preventing impacts on O&M analysis and revenue evaluation.
Full compatibility with third-party inverters.
The AdvanSol Data Control Box can operate independently or in conjunction with inverters and is fully compatible with the main third-party string inverters available on the market.
Whether for new photovoltaic projects or for modernizing existing plants, it integrates with the current system architecture, avoiding technical and commercial limitations caused by brand lock-in.
Data Control Box
According to AdvanSol, the Data Control Box V2.5 DCON allows distributed photovoltaic systems to achieve:
- Centralized security control
- Unified data acquisition and management
- Flexible configuration options
- High compatibility and long-term reliability.
• System solutions with lower cost and greater efficiency
