The Descarbonize Soluções Group, which controls Aldo Solar and Sol Agora, announced changes to its management structure effective October 31. Nuno Verças, who previously served as CEO of the companies, will step down to pursue new career paths, but will remain as a board member.

In a statement to the market, the group highlighted the importance of its role in consolidating and expanding its businesses. "Nuno was a central figure in the group's growth and consolidation trajectory, contributing significantly to our mission of promoting the democratization of sustainable and innovative solutions."

For succession, the company confirmed the appointment of Patrick von Schaaffhausen, current COO of the company and senior vice president of Brookfield Private Equity, as the new CEO of Aldo Solar and Descarbonize Soluções.

With over 20 years of experience in management, planning and strategic consulting, the executive has held leadership positions at the Boston Consulting Group and Profarma Specialty, in addition to having served as CFO of Aldo Solar/Descarbonize and Sol Agora.

"I'm excited about this new phase. We're in a period of expansion and many opportunities to be seized as we continue our journey. We have a history of transformation in the industry and will continue to be a leading player, maintaining our commitment to our customers and suppliers, with a focus on quality and sustainability," said Schaaffhausen.

Another change announced was the appointment of Antônio Lombardi Neto, current CTO, as interim CEO of Sol Agora. A professional with over 25 years of technology experience, having worked for companies such as BNP Paribas, Cielo, and Fidelity, he has been part of the fintech since its founding.

"Sol Agora, as a fintech in the solar segment, plays a crucial role in transforming how the sector operates, and I'm excited to explore the new opportunities that technology can offer us," said Lombardi Neto.
