Deye chose the Brazil for the opening of your first factory outside China, which will be installed in the PIM (Manaus Industrial Hub). The announcement was made during a meeting at Suframa (Superintendence of the Manaus Free Trade Zone) this Tuesday (03).

“Our coming here is to set up the battery factory and later inverters, so that we can become more competitive in the national and South American markets, offer better tax solutions to our customers and reiterate our sales leadership in the market”, said Thiago Gomes, Deye country manager for Brazil. Italy and Spain.

The meeting was led by Bosco Saraiva, superintendent of Suframa, accompanied by Arthur Lisbon, general coordinator of Foreign Trade and International Affairs of the Authority. Also participating were David Ji, CTO of Deye; Alan Wu, Global Vice President of Sales at Deye; Rocky Murphy, CFO of Deye; and Caio Lentini, Deye’s Operations Director for Brazil, Italy and Spain.

Lentini emphasized that, currently, the Deye already operates in more than 150 countries – including Brazil, the United States, Germany, South Africa and others in Asia-Pacific, such as the Philippines and Indonesia.

The new factory is part of the company's global strategy, which seeks to expand its production capacity and regionalization. “The expectation is to create a thousand direct and indirect jobs both in the manufacturing and assembly of equipment,” said Gomes.

The factory in Manaus is in land prospecting and feasibility phase of the technical-economic project. According to the delegation, production should start with batteries, expanding to inverters and, later, air conditioners. The choice of Manaus is largely due to the tax and logistical benefits provided by the ZFM (Manaus Free Trade Zone).

Saraiva reinforced the Municipality’s support for new investments. “Suframa is always open to support investments that drive the development of our region.. Deye’s interest in installing its first factory here is a reflection of the competitiveness and advantages that the Manaus Industrial Hub offers,” concluded.

Deye's warranty service is very slow in its stages, at least in my case, where I sent the hybrid inverter over thirty days ago and they are still waiting for "parts". For those who choose this brand of inverters, having to deal with this long warranty repair time can be discouraging for such a high-value investment and being left without a working device.
