Finame accredits high-efficiency photovoltaic modules

The company also announced the launch of the half-cell monocrystalline panel, with nominal power of 380 to 400 W

Good news for those seeking credit lines for equipment investments. BYD has launched a high-efficiency PERC mono module that is already eligible for Finame. According to the company, the M7K monocrystalline panel, produced at the Campinas plant, achieves 20,2% efficiency and has a nominal power ranging from 380 to 400 W.

Furthermore, the manufacturer highlights that the module features a lighter material, weighing 21,7 kg, with applications that adapt to various residential, commercial, industrial, remote generation, on-grid and off-grid systems. The model has been produced in Brazil since 2018, when they launched the M6D and then the M6K. However, with this performance and on a larger production scale, this is the first time they have developed it in Brazil.

Agribusiness

In Brazil, photovoltaic energy is increasingly present in agribusiness and rural properties. According to data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), in the first half of 2019 alone, 32.963 kWp were installed, which represents around 86% of the total installed throughout the year in 2018 in the sector.

“The agribusiness sector, for example, has greatly benefited from the off-grid system, which can be installed where the energy company cannot reach. Furthermore, the return on investment is full in the medium and long term. The products sold by BYD in Brazil were selected to serve our entire consumer market with quality, with a range of panels that cover the most diverse specificities of soil and solar incidence in the country, from north to south”, said Adalberto Maluf, director of marketing and sustainability of BYD in Brazil.

Another release

The company also announced the launch of the monocrystalline half-cell panel, with a nominal power of 380 to 400 W. According to BYD, the module, which also weighs 21,7 kg, has an efficiency of 19,95%. The model is not accredited with Finame.

“Photovoltaic energy is the great global bet for integrated economic-social development. Today, solar energy is the one that generates the most employment among the most diverse energy sources on the planet. It is no surprise that the new European pact, the European Green Deal, puts clean energy at the center of the reconstruction of nations”, said Maluf.
