Professionals of the solar energy are mobilizing to carry out manifestations in the states of São Paulo e Rio Grande do Sul on November 1st. O act is programmed to happen from 14 am - 17 pm in two locations: at the headquarters of CPFL, in Campinas (SP), and at the administrative headquarters of RGE Rio Grande Energy, in São Leopoldo (RS).

The action, organized by Solar Alliance, union between RING (National Clean Energy Institute) and MSL (Free Solar Movement), aims to to protest against the growing reproaches de GD projects (distributed generation) under the claim of flow inversion.

According to the Solar Alliance, the target é Call a attention for difficulties that integrators and companies in the sector have faced due to project rejections by distributors.

According to organization, the action seeks to ensure that the Concessionaires comply with what is provided for in the lei and regulation. “These companies have the responsibility, when rejecting a project due to reverse power flow, to present a detailed reportaccording to Article 73 da 1000 Resolution, which demonstrates the exact location of the reverse flow,” the organization said.

“However, many Concessionaires have used responses standardized to fail projects, without due technical basis. It is important to emphasize that the Concessionaires you can not veto um the project, they are required to present alternatives so that the table can access the network and inject the energy No. public electrical circuit”, He completed.

Impacts on the distributed generation market

O Canal Solar received several reports of sector professionals on situation. According to complaints from installation companies, Many projects are being rejected due to alleged conditions of flow reversal, making it difficult to continuity of facilities and harming the market expansion de solar energy.

In an interview with the editorial team, Lauro PorcherCEO of Solsul, reported that, since the beginning of the year, Concessionaires began to make it unfeasible artworks na network, especially for reasons of flow reversal.

He also said that most of the installations served by company are from industry segment, trade e agro. "With the ANEEL reducing the cutoff limit to reverse flow all with 7,5 kW, the situation became alarming: since the beginning of October, but of 80% of projects are being rejected,” said Porcher.

“A concern it's with our employees, because without sale does not exist revenue and without resources, we will have to dismiss”, Reported.

O Canal Solar also received a report from electrical engineer William Sperling Trapp. “We are having several reproaches da RGE. Mainly, by flow reversal. In the reproaches, are presented studies without proof of data, nor whose it is technical manager for the study,” he said.

“Apparently, it is a standard study. In these studies, options are presented for conexão, however these are not viable for executing the the project do customers, which makes it impossible to access do customers à GD”, he added.

O engineer also mentioned that the instruction of not injecting energy during periods of greatest solar generation makes it impossible projects smaller ones, such as those of residences, agribusiness family and small companies.

O engineer also commented that some reproaches are occurring under the claim of lack of information. “When we check, we see that all the information without any error. It appears to be a form of postpone os deadlines established by the Normative Resolutions”, Reported.

“We have already had to reduce the team and we are working tirelessly with our Engineering team to argue and reverse these reproaches. From our point of view, these reproaches are harming the consumer rights to have your distributed generation”, He stated.

“We fear that if this wave of reproaches continue, it will affect the whole distributed solar energy sector and, in particular, the consumer rights to enjoy the benefits da solar generation in a sustainable”, Finished.

Disruptions and losses for the sector

The impact of these reproaches has generated concerns between the sector professionals. According to electrical engineer Gessé Corrêa Junior, Facility Engineering Solutions company, situation created a great malaise, especially since the end customers are forced to deal with additional costs and with frustration of not being able to operate the work as planned.

“This has negatively affected the solar energy sales. We depend on the approval of projects to move forward with the installations. Imagine completing a installation and then find out that the the project was failed because of a flow reversal. It's a big disorder for everyone involved,” he said.

He also highlighted that the GD (distributed generation), which is represented by millions of small power generators installed in roofs, parking lots e rural properties, it will be essential to avoid blackouts in the future.

This is because energy is generated in the consumption areas, ensuring greater energy security. "One residence that is generating energy also provides for the neighbors, contributing to the network stability“, He added.

Second Renato Zimmermann, Solar Alliance, GD, represented by millions of small power generation systems em roofs, parking lots e rural properties, will be essential to avoid blackouts, especially in Summer and during extreme weather events. This model of power generation offers new technologic solutions that expand the power grid security.

Furthermore, Zimmermann warns that without these alternatives, Brazilian economy may suffer losses, since the electricity is essential for most of the productive activities and for the economic growth the country.

“That's because the energy is generated within the consumption areas, thus ensuring greater energy security. An residence that is generating energy also provides for the neighbors, contributing to the network stability, which will also need to be modernized”, says Zimmermann.

Os resources for organizers are counting on the participation of protesters of several cities e regions, mostly of microphone e small businessmen who struggle to remain active in this sector which has been standing out for job creation and new technological opportunities.

We have to create a photovoltaic blackout day.
Invite all photovoltaic system owners to turn off their system on this day, I want to see how the National System Operator will get around the situation, it will be a general blackout.
The photovoltaic system in Brazil is balancing the country's energy deficit.

This is worrying. I work with projects in distributed generation of solar energy credits and projects to install plants without the need for financing. GD with a discount of 8% to 20% and can reach up to 90% in savings for our residential and business clients. I am looking for partners to expand the project. Interested parties should call Watts directly at 51984863327.

By “climate events” we mean the water shortage that reduces the generation of electrical energy through this source and in this sense, any kilowatt generated from another clean source is welcome and providential.
As for flow inversion, each distribution sector must be analyzed separately as the conditions are not the same for all sectors.

  • Fabio Andrade

The distributor must present the study as required by the instruction manual in article 73, regulated by order of the ANEEL and END. But companies in the solar sector are not concerned with the distribution system, they just want to sell, and often install them in any way, causing losses to the customer. Now, saying that solar energy will help the power grid in extreme weather events is like laughing in the face of the population that doesn't know anything about the subject. Solar energy is to reduce the consumer's personal bill, and that's what the law says. Companies in the solar sector use veiled speeches to disguise their personal interests: money at any cost, circumventing the compensation system and gaining more and more subsidies.

It is the lobby of the electric power concessionaires speaking louder. Because Anel is an organization paid for by taxpayers but with the explicit objective of always favoring the large distributors. Just look at where its former directors are employed.

  • Gerson Baptista

The Ministry of Mines and Energy must regulate a Law that determines that concessionaires can only refuse a project with technical grounds and validated by CREA
