Federal deputy Lafayette de Andrada (Republicanos-MG) confirmed to the Canal Solar this Wednesday (26) that will present the bill that creates a legal framework for GD (distributed generation) of photovoltaic energy in Brazil next week.
“I want to present it [the bill] next week, I don’t know exactly the day yet. Most likely on Wednesday (4),” said the parliamentarian in an exclusive interview with Canal Solar.
The deputy's proposal to create the legal framework for GD changes the rules of ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) on micro and mini energy generation. According to the parliamentarian, the processing of the text will occur according to the wishes of the Speaker of the Chamber, Rodrigo Maia (DEM).
“Regarding the processing, the president will be the one to decide Rodrigo Maia. I think that this proposal should be a substitute for a project that is in advanced stages of processing, which I believe will be that of Representative Silas Câmara (Republicans), who has, in fact, participated and helped a lot in the construction of this new text”, said Lafayette.
Asked about the support the bill will have, the parliamentarian was confident. “My perception is that there is broad support from deputies for the project. In general, all deputies are in favor of the use of solar energy. The project has a very relevant social aspect, which is the popularization of the use of solar energy. The PL will provide the possibility for less favored social classes to have access to the use of solar energy, which does not happen today”.
