GoodWe has achieved the top position among global hybrid inverter manufacturers with more than 15% global market share. The numbers were released by Wood Mackenzie in its report Global PV Inverter Market Shares Full-Year 2019.
The company entered the industry in 2014 and has since invested in ongoing research and strategic development with a team of approximately 200 solar researchers. With this, it has built a portfolio that varies between 3 kW and 100 kW, including single-phase and three-phase, high and low voltage solutions, retrofit DC and AC coupling.
GoodWe's portfolio of hybrid inverters currently consists of the ES, EM, ET, EH, BT, BH, SBP, ETC, BTC and SEA lines, developed for different application scenarios and offering great potential in the storage sector.
According to the company, its function of backup guarantees a constant power supply for 24 hours in extreme weather conditions. In countries where networks are unreliable or in poor condition, hybrid systems offer the best alternative for self-sufficiency.
The company currently ranks first in energy storage, especially in Europe, South Africa and Australia. This is because, in markets where electricity prices are high, such as Italy, Germany and Australia, an increasing number of residents are opting for hybrid inverters due to financial incentives offered in each country and higher electricity bills, with the intention of maximizing self-consumption.
For Daniel Huang, CEO of GoodWe, recognition motivates the company's improvement. “GoodWe has always viewed the provision of high-quality inverters as its most important competitive advantage and its main contribution to the ongoing energy transformation. We would like to express our gratitude to our customers and partners for their constant support and for sharing all the valuable feedback that has helped us deliver excellent products.”
