O Agribusiness is a key sector for the economy Brazilian and responsible for a large portion of the National GDP (Gross Domestic Product). According to publicity from the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics), the GDP was R$2,7 trillion in the first quarter of 2024.

Of this amount, the share of thefarming was R$ 192,2 billion, an increase of 11,3% compared to the same period last year.

To optimize and increasingly leverage the participation of this sector in the national economy, segment constantly searches ways to reinvent yourself, whether through the use of technologies such as drones, sensors and GPS for monitoring and managing production, the use of more efficient management and cultivation techniques, the implementation of sustainable practices and the search for new management strategies.

Thinking about it, the MTR Solar, manufacturer and distributor of photovoltaic equipment and structures announced the creation of Vertical Agro MTR BESS, which brings to Brazilian agribusiness the provision of integrated hybrid solutions for energy, sustainability and reduced operational costs.

The MTR is carried out in partnership with the manufacturer of photovoltaic technologies GoodWe. Together, the Companies will supply the equipment and install and maintain the system.

A hybrid solution consists of an integrated system of diesel, solar energy, generator and storage energy through batteries (with duration varying between 8h, 14pm and 24h) and comes as alternative to pivot, equipment used for irrigation of plantations.

According to MTR Solar, the system offers a reduction of up to 70% in energy costs for the producer and a reduction of up to 50% in water consumption, due to the intelligent irrigation system.

“A MTR offers all services to rural producers, from the purchase of equipment such as modules, fixed structures, trackers to the delivery of the entire structure on site through CT Botelho, the MTR Group's logistics company”, says Thiago Rios, CEO of MTR Solar.

“A creation of Vertical Agro marks a significant step for MTR. Our partnership with GoodWe allows us to offer innovative and high-quality solutions for Brazilian agribusiness”, adds Rios.

“A collaboration between GoodWe and MTR represents a significant milestone for the Brazilian agro sector. Our strategic orientation is to encourage the development of agribusiness, a rapidly expanding sector, providing three-phase hybrid solutions that combine sustainability, efficiency and cost reduction”, says Fábio Mendes, vice-president of Goodwe South America.

"We are committed to providing cutting-edge technologies that help rural producers achieve energy independence and improve their competitiveness in the global market”, concludes Mendes.

About MTR Solar

In the solar market, the MTR Group already has 1,8 GWp (Gigawatt-peak) installed, more than 480 plants served with more than 2,2 million modules installed. The company's goal for 2024 is to generate business that reaches 2 GWp (Gigawatt-peak) installed in equipment in Brazil and Latin America: Modules, inverters, fixed structure, tracker, medium voltage skid and power cables.
