The São Paulo State Government, through Semil (Secretariat of Environment, Infrastructure and Logistics), released a list of 214 cities selected for solar energy generation projects in São Paulo municipalities. The measure aims to alleviate the burden on public coffers regarding electricity costs, as well as promote sustainability throughout the state.
Financial support for municipalities includes R$ 5 million from Fecop (State Fund for Pollution Prevention and Control). Classification is the initial stage and, with the... official list published in the Official Gazette (Official Gazette of the State) of São Paulo, the first municipalities will be called upon to present the documents, according to budgetary availability.
Once the documentation is approved, eligible municipalities will be able to receive funds for the implementation of power plants with a capacity of up to 75 kWp. The equipment must guarantee sufficient volume to supply approximately 50 homes.
According to Semil, the ranking results reflect the performance of the municipalities according to the criteria established in the call for proposals. The municipalities of Taiaçu (1st), Pongaí (2nd) and Salmourão (3rd) lead the ranking. The São José do Rio Preto region has 42 ranked municipalities, followed by Presidente Prudente (25) and Campinas (22).
How can integrators participate in the program?
