A ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) disclosed on the last Friday (29) that tariff flag Verde remains in force for January 2024, that is, the accounts de electricity will have no additional cost.

According to the Agency, the green flag is a consequence of the favorable conditions for energy generation, a situation that has remained for 21 months, since April 2022.

General director Sandoval Feitosa highlighted that “the signage confirms the good energy conditions in the country and allows the consumer to start having a more conscious consumption, by knowing the real cost of energy. We start the year with excellent news for consumers.”

Created in 2015, the tariff flags aim to help consumers understand when to save and understand the value of the month's energy generation.

With this, monthly, “the ANEEL monitors and makes projections for the activation of flags, valid for all consumers of the National Interconnected System (SIN), a network of electricity transmission lines that connects plants to consumers”, stated the Agency.
