A HDT, a solutions hub for the green technology, photovoltaic energy and critical energy market, launched on Intersolar South America a business model that will allow access for companies generating shared energy to its ecosystem of photovoltaic kit distributors and, consequently, to integrators throughout Brazil.
The first companies to adopt this business model were Home Energy, one of the largest generators of shared energy, and the BelEnergy, one of the main distributors of solar equipment in the country and a partner in the HDT ecosystem.
The cooperation was formalized in a brief ceremony at the Huawei booth. According to the companies, the platform will allow integrators, linked to BelEnergy, to have a complementary option to their operations in the market, opening new business possibilities.
By joining the platform, through Órigo shared energy generation, they will receive cash credits to use in future sales of Huawei equipment.
The companies also highlighted that, in this way, the entire chain benefits. Integrators and installers can increase their revenues, end customers will have easier access to shared solar energy with savings on bills, and resellers expand their sales channels for Huawei equipment.
“We are honored by the trust that BelEnergy and Órigo Energia have placed in this partnership. The big difference is the connection of our various energy generating clients to an ecosystem of integrators spread across Brazil, generating mutual benefits and strengthening the synergy between these two markets”, he commented. Leonardo Cyrino, CEO of HDT.
“Being with the best partners and pioneering innovations that expand access to solar energy is part of Órigo’s way of growing, generating gains for everyone in the ecosystem. Today, we are market leaders and, very soon, we will be in 20 states. We have more than 1 partners within an benefits program called Clube Órigo Pro and we see good results when integrators complement their offer with the shared energy option. Therefore, we really believe in this model developed together with HDT and BelEnergy”, he stated Surya Mendonça, CEO of Órigo Energia.
“BelEnergy is one of the largest distributors of photovoltaic kits in Brazil and, as a result, has a close relationship with thousands of integrators in all states. This partnership with HDT and Órigo reinforces our commitment to customers to provide the most innovative technology solutions, with the best service infrastructure”, he pointed out. Gustavo Tegon, Institutional Director at BelEnergy.
Rômulo Horta, director of new business at Huawei, celebrated the increase in the possibilities for its products to reach more and more customers. “This new partnership will help boost the company's business in the country, expanding the use of renewable sources and accelerating the development of a low-carbon economy,” he highlighted.
Historical sales
At the ceremony to be held at Intersolar, HDT and Huawei will also recognize BelEnergy and Órigo Energia for two of the largest commercial transactions in the market in the country.
In the first quarter of 2024, BelEnergy acquired more than 85 thousand Huawei residential inverters, ranging between 3 and 10 kW each, which is equivalent to more than 500 Megawatts MW in total.
As a result, this became the largest purchase of residential inverters by the same distributor in history. Órigo Energia recently closed an agreement to purchase 350 MW with a forecast of increasing this volume by the end of this year, in high-power Huawei inverters, aimed at distributed generation plants. This was also the largest sale recorded in the projects segment.
