Um energy efficiency program on solar energy panels implemented in Mario Gatti NetworkOn Campinas, sp), has already resulted in a savings of more than R$2,4 million on the electricity bill of the municipality since its installation in 2021.

The installation of technology is part of the CPFL Program in Hospitals, in which more than R$5,2 million has already been invested by the distributor for the installation of photovoltaic plants and the replacement of more than 4,7 LED lamps in health units in the State of São Paulo.

“We achieved, over these three years, a reduction of over 30% in the energy bill, a resource that is reinvested in the Mário Gatti Network in assistance and improving infrastructure conditions, which allows the installation of more equipment and inputs within the units to serve the population”, says the president of Rede Mário Gatti, Sérgio Bisogni.

Six units with solar energy

Currently, six service units of the Mário Gatti Network, in Campinas, already have solar energy systems in operation, in the Mário Gatti hospitals, Ouro Verde, in addition to the Samu units (Mobile Emergency Care Service) and the UPAs (Emergency Care Units) São José, Campo Grande and Carlos Lourenço.

In addition to them, Rede Mário Gatti informed that it has also requested CPFL that the UPA Anchieta Metropolitana, the building where the outpatient clinics of Hospital Mário Gatti and the Pediatric Unit Mário Gattinho operated, also be included in the concessionaire's project.

Savings on each unit

No Mario Gatti Hospital, 1.077 photovoltaic panels were installed and the average monthly electricity bill, which was R$231,4 thousand in 2021, dropped to R$144,5 thousand in 2023, a reduction of 37,5%.

No Ouro Verde Hospital 1.942 solar panels were installed. At the unit, the average monthly expense was R$267,7 thousand in 2021 and has now increased to R$163,4 thousand, totaling a saving of 38,9%.

The reduction in spending on UPA Campo Grande with the installation of 148 solar panels it was 25,3%. The average monthly bill fell from R$13,6 to R$10 in two years. In UPA Carlos Lourenço, with 60 modules installed, the electricity bill fell from R$15,4 thousand per month to R$11,1 thousand.

Finally, in UPA São José, where 112 solar panels were installed, the savings are 10,9% (R$ 5,5 thousand to R$ 4,9 thousand per month), while in Samu (with 36 photovoltaic modules) the bill dropped from R$3,7 to R$2,9.
