Manufacturer Hoymiles launched, on Thursday night (16), a new line of microinverters with integrated Wi-Fi. The series of inverters includes the HMS-1600DW-4T, HMS-1800DW-4T and HMS-2000DW-4T models.

The event was attended by integrators and partner photovoltaic equipment distribution companies. According to the manufacturer, the launch of the products aims to reach mainly residential consumers and those who wish to build small photovoltaic plants.

According to Hoymiles, the microinverters are compatible with high-power modules and their development was based on extensive research into the Brazilian market.

“We know that people in each region and country have their own usage habits and different views on distributed and residential PV systems. Therefore, Hoymiles has conducted detailed research on this issue,” said Yang Bo, CEO of Hoymiles.

“Brazil is a vital and strategic market for Hoymiles abroad. Microinverters with integrated Wi-Fi are highly competitive products that we launched based on our research into usage habits. We look forward to working together with you to develop the Brazilian market,” he concluded.

Hoymiles will expand technologies beyond microinverters

Technical characteristics

Due to built-in Wi-Fi, new Hoymiles models connect directly to an internet router to transmit key performance data. The manufacturer also highlights that this feature brings savings and simplifies system installation.

Check out the main technical characteristics of Hoymiles Wi-Fi integrated microinverters below:

  • Three output power specifications:
    • HMS-1600DW-4T; with a maximum continuous output power of 1.600 VA;
    • HMS-1800DW-4T; with a maximum continuous output power of 1.800 VA;
    • HMS-2000DW-4T; with a maximum continuous output power of 2.000 VA.
  • A maximum DC input current of 14, 15 and 16 A;
  • Compatibility with 182 mm/210 mm photovoltaic modules;
  • A CEC peak efficiency of up to 96,7%, optimizing solar energy use and DC to AC conversion.

Also according to Hoymiles, the microinverters withstand temperatures of up to 105°C, have a waterproof rating of IP67, are suitable for outdoor use and come with a pre-connected antenna that reduces the risk of water damage. .

“Similarly, Hoymiles’ new product line is built to withstand a wide range of ambient temperatures, from -40°C to +65°C. With excellent module-level MPPT, they can adapt to changing conditions, ensuring all solar array panels perform at their best, increasing energy yield and reducing the time needed to recover costs,” the company said.

    More than wonderful news, Deye's computers had the advantage of already having Wi-Fi but the efficiency lost badly to the hoymilles, now depending on the price of the hoymilles being competitive it will be complicated for Deye to compete
