Hoymiles showcased its product portfolio at Intersolar South America 2024, including the 8W 1-in-5.000 microinverter (MiT-5000-8T series) – designed for large-scale residential and C&I (commercial and industrial) projects – and the HMS-2000DW series, as well as battery solutions and the S-Miles Cloud.

According to the company, the MiT-5000-8T line does not need replacement for 25 years, far exceeding the typical 10-year lifespan of traditional inverters, and supports two modules connected in series per input, ensuring safe DC voltage levels below 120 V. “This design effectively eliminates the main cause of system fires: high-voltage DC arcing,” they highlighted.

Another advantage highlighted by the manufacturer is that the equipment can be installed on practically any type of roof, offering flexibility and ensuring consistent performance, even in less than ideal conditions.

Additionally, the MiT microinverter features four MPPTs, and its low MPPT voltage threshold (12V) enables early start-up and operation in low-light conditions, maximizing power generation and increasing ROI.

HMS-2000DW Series

Alongside the MiT line, Hoymiles has introduced the HMS-2000DW series, a high-efficiency, low-cost microinverter designed for small-scale PV installations. Key features include:

  • Compatibility with conventional routers: eliminates the need for additional products or antennas;
  • High efficiency and power: with a maximum power of 2.000 VA and support for up to 16 A on the DC side, the HMS-2000DW series maximizes energy yield while minimizing power losses;
  • Extreme safety: Designed to meet rapid shutdown regulations, the microinverter operates at low voltage, reducing the risk of serious arcing incidents.

Other highlights

Visitors also had the opportunity to learn about smart home solutions – including the hybrid microinverter, DTU and HAS (AC coupled inverter) – and explore the interactive DIY area at the stand, with the S-Miles Cloud and Flex systems.

Attendees used mobile devices to experience the S-Miles Cloud platform, monitoring their PV projects in real time and gaining insights into energy harvests. The Flex area allowed them to interact with the company’s plug-and-play cable systems, demonstrating the ease of installation and integration of the system.
