Hughes do Brasil, a subsidiary of Hughes Network Systems, LLC (HUGHES), announced the provision of remote connectivity to hundreds of solar energy sites in Brazil.

With decades of experience providing GEO, BGAN and, more recently, LEO services for SCADA and fleet monitoring applications, the company is using this expertise to deploy a mobile connectivity solution across 400 locations by the end of Q2025 XNUMX.

“Our client is installing stand-alone solar power plants in the Amazon region, bringing renewable energy to families and small communities,” said Rafael Guimarães, president of Hughes do Brasil.

“One of the problems they faced was the need to monitor and control the inverters at each location, in real time. Hughes do Brasil was able to solve this problem by offering an effective and affordable satellite connectivity service,” he added.

Mobile asset tracking and system monitoring are essential for industrial facilities located in remote regions. As part of the service offering, the company will use the hiSky communication system.

The hiSky Smartellite™ Dynamic terminal is ideal for these environments due to its compact, robust, lightweight and low power consumption form factor. Initial customer networks are currently being set up, enabling online access to mobile assets via Ku-band.

“We are excited to work with Hughes to deploy our systems across hundreds of remote locations in Brazil,” said Gidi Talmor, VP of Sales at hiSky. “Together with Hughes, we are confident that our technology will play a transformative role for businesses in Brazil.”
