JA Solar announced that its DeepBlue 4.0 Pro modules have passed the high-speed wind tunnel test conducted by TÜV NORD, which the company says demonstrates exceptional weather resistance, especially in hurricane-prone regions such as high-altitude and offshore areas – where energy is obtained from the force of the wind on the high seas.

“TÜV NORD is the first testing agency to introduce and carry out wind tunnel certification for panels. The comprehensive standard under extreme conditions sets a high benchmark in the industry, detailing the technical requirements for modules and their components during strong hurricanes,” highlighted the manufacturer.

“DeepBlue 4.0 Pro is at the forefront of innovation, utilizing rectangular silicon wafers combined with cutting-edge technologies. This includes high-efficiency Bycium+ N-Type cell technology and advanced high-density packaging techniques,” they highlighted.

According to the company, the 72-cell version has a power of 635 W, making it the most powerful product in the 182mm series. Furthermore, they emphasized that the module line features several improved features such as lower power degradation and higher bifaciality factor, as well as higher power temperature coefficient and better performance in low light conditions.

“These advances guarantee greater energy yield in challenging climatic conditions. Based on data from a year-long field test launched by JA Solar and TÜV NORD in Yinchuan, the N-Type modules demonstrated an additional energy yield of approximately 3,9%,” they reported.

Additionally, the company's DeepBlue 4.0 Pro panels offer an advantage with their lower open circuit voltage due to fewer cells, which minimizes the risk of hot spots.

This design also allows for a greater number of modules per string, thus reducing BOS (Balance of System) and LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy) costs. “This translates into greater value for customers, reinforcing JA’s commitment to providing innovative, high-quality photovoltaic solutions,” they concluded.
