Jinko Solar and Growatt launch new features for the solar energy market

Manufacturers presented new models of photovoltaic modules and inverters, in addition to discussing market challenges

The manufacturer Jinko Solar announced on Tuesday afternoon (13) two new photovoltaic modules from the Tiger Pro line for the Brazilian market. The launch was carried out during a webinar promoted by the photovoltaic equipment distributor Aldo Solar. The first has 460 W of power and has an efficiency of up to 21,32%, while the second, the Tiger Pro 530 W bifacial module, has 20,6% efficiency and, according to the company, is intended for large-scale plants.

During the event, the Growatt also presented its new X series inverters: the single-phase MIN 8 kW – 10 kW 220V, with 97,6% efficiency; the three-phase MID 15 kW – 20 kW and MAC 25 kW – 30 and 36kW of 220V; in addition to the MAX 100 kW and 125 kW of 380V, intended for large power plants.

The inverter manufacturer also announced its entry into the automotive market, with the launch of the Thor Smart EV single-phase chargers for electric cars, with a power of 7,4 kW and 32 A of electric current. For the off-grid segment, the manufacturer announced that the Hope Lithium Iron Phosphate LiFePO4 batteries, capable of storing 4,8 kWh of electric energy and with 3,5 cycles, are now available in Brazil. In addition, Growatt announced a ten-year warranty on the single-phase and three-phase inverters of the X series only for Brazil.

webinar

The launches were made during a webinar promoted by the photovoltaic equipment distributor Aldo Solar, in partnership with manufacturers Growatt and Jinko Solar, on Tuesday afternoon (13). The online event was attended by Aldo Teixeira, CEO and founder of Aldo Solar; Joaquim Fernandes, commercial director of Aldo Solar; Alberto Cuter, general manager of Jinko Solar for Latin America and Italy; and Talyson Alves, Marketing manager of Growatt.

During the webinar, the challenges and opportunities for the sector were discussed, such as the rise in silicon prices and the increase in shipping costs due to the pandemic. It was also highlighted how solar energy is a solution to the water crisis that the country has been facing, in addition to providing tips to help sales professionals working in the photovoltaic market.

Jinko Solar's new efficiency record

During the launch, Jinko highlighted that after setting the test record of 25,25% for large-area N-type monocrystalline silicon solar cells, it achieved 23,53% maximum efficiency in a photovoltaic module.

The tests were independently conducted and confirmed by TÜV Rheinland, a company that provides testing services for quality and safety standards. According to the manufacturer, the module's performance was a result of adopting JinkoSolar's TOPCon cell technology combined with a new packaging welding technology.

“It is our long-standing commitment to providing customers with high-quality products that increase energy efficiency and reduce LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy) through technological innovation. Each new record achievement demonstrates our R&D (Research and Development) capabilities and is a great motivation for the invaluable work we do to upgrade industry standards. We are confident that the investments we have made in R&D will lead to more innovative products for greater efficiency and reliability across our extensive global sales network, our leadership will be further strengthened and will position us to drive technological progress and green transformation,” he stated in notes Hao Jin, chief technology officer at Jinko Solar.
