Cordeiro Soluções em Energia signed a supply agreement with the German multinational Solar AE with a delivery schedule for 2022, potentially totaling 150 MW in modules and other components. To close 2021, the company already has two deliveries scheduled until December.
Amid the exponential growth of photovoltaic generation in Brazil, the objective of the company, which belongs to the Melo Cordeiro Group, is to guarantee the availability of products for end customers and, mainly, for integrators accredited through the relationship program.
“There is a global shortage of silicon, the raw material for photovoltaic panels and microchips, and difficulties in the flow of international maritime transport, which has made it more expensive,” said Alexandre Sathler, manager of strategic planning and Market Intelligence at Cordeiro.
“Anyone who chooses national distributors who did not enter the production line queue in advance will be left without product”, highlighted Sathler.
In the first quarter alone, Cordeiro will receive 80 thousand panels from AE Solar, equivalent to 40 MW; the material will occupy 120 containers. The chosen model has an integrated chip – which increases energy efficiency – and is designed with graphene, a more resistant material.

“With the forecast of continued rise in the cost of electricity, the forecast is for years of growth in the photovoltaic matrix, increasingly taking advantage of Brazilian potential”, assessed Jorge Caparroz, commercial director at Cordeiro.
