This Saturday (29), at 11am, the largest urban photovoltaic plant in Brazil will be inaugurated. Located in Caldas Novas (GO), the plant has 16.578 photovoltaic modules, occupying 3.220 m² in a garage-style roof system, 3.800 m² on roofs and 75.000 m² on the ground.
The event will be attended by President Jair Bolsonaro, the Minister of Mines and Energy, Bento Albuquerque and businesswoman Magda Mofatto Hon, founder of Grupo diRoma and creator of the project.
According to Grupo diRoma, the plant has a power of 5,6 MWp. The project will serve the tourism-oriented ventures that the company maintains in the city of Goiás. “In the end, the savings [of the group with electricity] will reach 85%”, estimates businesswoman Magda.
In terms of management, the solar plant will bring benefits to the diRoma Group and the city, which will receive the electrical surplus previously destined for hotels and clubs.
