LEDVANCE creates business unit and enters the solar sector

Portfolio, aimed at residential and C&I applications, includes modules, microinverters, inverters and batteries

A LEDVANCE, one of the global references in lighting and present in more than 150 countries, announced its entry No. sector de renewable energy, with the creation of the LEDVANCE Renewables.

The new business unit will be dedicated to manufacture de ephotovoltaic equipment and integrated solutions forresidential applications e C&I (commercial and industrial).

“The expansion of the general lighting portfolio to photovoltaic energy is directly linked to our DNA, to always develop intelligent and efficient solutions, based on the delivery of sustainable and ecological products”, he stated Everton Mello, CEO of LEDVANCE for Latin America.

The executive pointed out that the company's history is marked by the development of human-centered components, such as residential, commercial and industrial lighting lines integrated into the system. HCL (Human Centric Light) and the pluggable lighting (IoT).

Now, according to Mello, the general lighting and renewable systems divisions will walk alongside a Your Side to form a comprehensive clean and smart energy ecosystem.

"We are on a lot of expectations in this new business, as we invest in renewable sources at a time when Brazil is becoming a reference in the subject. Recently, solar energy surpassed wind energy, second only to hydropower in our country, and still has enormous growth potential”, he added.

LEDVANCE Renewables' portfolio includes photovoltaic modules, microinverters, string/on-grid inverters, hybrid inverters, Batteries and acessories. All of them are manufactured by the Chinese MLS – global owner of LEDVANCE – at plants in Zhongshan, Ji'an, Xinyu, Foshan and Yiwu.
