Luz para Todos carried out more than 55 thousand new installations in 2023

Government hopes to bring electricity to another 480 families in the coming years

Luz para Todos, a Federal Government program that aims to universalize access to electricity, carried out 55.450 new installations this year, exceeding the target set for 6,75 by 2023%.

According to the MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy), Pará led in the number of consumer units served, totaling 12.344 connections in rural areas and a further 7.058 in remote regions of the Legal Amazon, exceeding the target by 33%.

In Maranhão, performance was 46% higher than planned, covering 3.005 consumer units in rural areas and 978 in the Legal Amazon

In Piauí, growth of 35% was observed in relation to the target, reaching a total of 6.827 connections in rural areas.

As for Rondônia, the objectives were exceeded by 3%, totaling 3.225 connections in rural areas and 225 in the Amazon.

By the end of 2024, the government expects to sign 21 new contracts under the Light for All Program, aiming to serve, in the coming years, approximately 120.842 new consumer units and benefit around 480 people.
