A accession ao free energy market is heated in these first months of the year. According to CCEE (Electricity Trading Chamber), in January and February, they're gone 3.866 new migrations, which corresponds to 52% of the total of records in 2023.

Ao total, were 44.988 loads, regarding 10 thousand units more than in beginning of March last year.

For the president of the CCEE Board of Directors, Alexandre Ramos, growth refers to the advantages of free negotiation and the Chamber's commitment to ensuring that migrations take place in the best possible way.

“We went far beyond day-to-day operations and worked with companies to guide them about opening. We also optimized our internal processes and offered an extension of deadlines so that agents could resolve any pending issues to enter the segment”, highlighted Ramos.

The 3.866 new consumers in the segment added a monthly load of around 990 MW. Of this total, 2.846 began to participate in the business model through a retail supplier, who facilitates the migration process and manages energy purchase and sale operations.

According to ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), between January and the beginning of March, there are already around 12,1 thousand consumers who have notified about the end of the contract with traditional distributors to start using the free market.
