O MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy) approved the 1,47 GW framework em 26 solar power plants No. REIDI (Special Incentive Regime for Infrastructure Development).

The authorizations were published in the edition this Monday (17) of the DOU (Official Gazette of the Union) and cover four Brazilian states.

In Goiás, the UFVs (photovoltaic plants) Alto São Francisco XIII, XIV, XV and XVI, totaling 200 MW, and the UFVs Padre Bernardo II, IV and VI, totaling 150 MW, will have a special taxation regime.

In Alagoas, UFVs Zebu I, II and V to VIII entered the special regime, totaling 191,8 MW, while in Rio Grande do Norte The UFV Serra do Mel XI, XII, XIV and XV projects were included, totaling 92,4 MW.

In Minas Gerais, there was the largest number of approved frameworks, at UFVs São Miguel 5, 7 and 9 (totaling 149,9 MW); at UFV João Pinheiro 3 (30 MW) and at UFVs Boa Sorte 9, 10, 11, 12, 14,22 and 23 (totaling 661,5 MW).

In short, adherence to the REIDI exempts a project (in the transport, ports, energy, basic sanitation and irrigation sectors) from PIS and COFINS contributions, in relation to goods, materials and services incorporated into the asset, both in domestic and foreign acquisitions.
