Multinationals close partnership and heat up the solar energy sector

During GE's selection process, approximately 30 solar inverter manufacturers were analyzed

The international solar energy market has seen yet another partnership. This time, the deal was between GE (General Electric) and inverter manufacturer GoodWe. With the agreement signed last week, GoodWe becomes the exclusive licensing partner for solar inverters for GE's global sales.

During GE's selection process, around 30 solar inverter manufacturers were analyzed by the multinational, which made a detailed diagnosis, following a list of selection criteria drawn up by researchers and scientists with global R&D operations.

The evaluation process included checking the technical performance of components, the company's financial stability to the extent of global service coverage, aesthetic design, brand awareness and market reputation, among others.

For Thomas Bucellato, CEO of GE Licensing, GoodWe was the right choice. “Our analysts knew we needed first-class products as we will be targeting the premium segment of the market, where brand loyalty is also associated with high expectations. GoodWe is the best option,” said Bucellato.

The partnership with GE was celebrated by GoodWe founder and CEO, Daniel Huang. “After years of intense work and continuous progress, this is the recognition that the brand and the company truly deserve,” highlighted Huang.
