The Minister of Mines and Energy, Alexandre Silveira, stated that 100% of the homes in the Minha Casa, Minha Vida program will have solar energy, during the 3rd Meeting of the G20 Energy Transition Working Group, in Belo Horizonte (MG).
According to the executive, the project will be launched next week by the Ministries of Cities and Mines and Energy, aiming to stimulate not only the development of the energy source in the country, but also to foster job creation and "combat inequality in a true and solid way," he said.
Despite the announcement, the minister did not provide further details about the use of technology in the federal government's public housing program.
In July of last year, the source was included in the Minha Casa, Minha Vida program with the approval of... Law 14.620 / 2023 – which recreated the housing program in place of the Minha Casa Verde e Amarela program, bringing incentives for solar energy.

Will it be through bidding?
How will companies be hired to install photovoltaic systems?
How will the installation be carried out in homes, will accredited companies be hired?
This program, my house, my life, is only available to people who come from outside and are under 50 years old. I'm 66 and I've never been able to do it because I only earn a salary from LOAs.
These decisions are great, as long as the government pays the bill, here in the northeast, people's income becomes more distant from the MCMV program every year.
To those responsible for the content, my name is Rogério Bueno, I am a maintainer in the solar energy area where I live (Andrelandia MG), I would like to know how I can participate in the installation of photovoltaic plants in the MCMV program here in my region? Thanks
