A neoenergy opened on Wednesday (31), three power substations, common investment of around R$182 million.
The new facilities will benefit more 300 thousand people, expanding the energy offer and contributing to the socioeconomic development of municipalities in the interior of Bahia quality Pernambuco.
Substations in Bahia
In Bahia, Neoenergia invested more than R $ million 155 in substations Barriers III e Alto Fêmeas II and 80 kilometers of associated 138kV subtransmission lines, which will inject 25 MVA of installed power into the region.
Barriers III
It is the third substation in the municipality of Barriers (BA), which will directly benefit 150 thousand people. The structure has an associated 138 kV subtransmission line, six kilometers long, and will increase the installed power in the region by 25 MVA.
Alto Fêmeas II
Located in the municipality of São Desidério (BA), the substation has an associated 138kV subtransmission line 74 kilometers long. The installation will benefit approximately 100 thousand inhabitants in the cities of Barreiras, Luís Eduardo Magalhães, Formosa do Rio Preto and Riachão das Neves.
According to Thiago Guth, CEO of Neoenergia Coelba, deliveries are planned within the strategic investment plan in Bahia, which foresees the investment of R$ 13,3 billion in structural works until 2027.
“The Barreiras III and Alto Fêmeas II substations are part of a plan drawn up together with the productive sectors in the west of the state to ensure that the energy supply is reliable and contributes to the development of the region” he affirms
Substation in Pernambuco
In Pernambuco, more than R $ million 27 at the substation Mundaú em Garanhuns (PE). This installation provides energy to around 60 thousand people in the host city, Brejão and São João.
Mundaú
Built in an area of approximately 10 thousand square meters, it is connected to three subtransmission lines with an initial power of 20 MVA, but with the possibility of reaching 53,2 MVA.
According to Neornergia, the energization of the unit reduced the length of existing circuits and the number of consumers per circuit, thus ensuring greater operational flexibility in the region with the possibility of transferring loads according to the demand of each location.
Furthermore, monitoring and management of the enterprise can be done remotely, directly from the IOC (Integrated Operations Center), in Recife.
According to Saulo Cabral, CEO of Neoenergia Pernambuco, “the region develops strategic agricultural activity for the state and will directly benefit from the expansion of energy supply”.
This is third substation delivered this year in Pernambuco. In February and May, Neoenergia Pernambuco inaugurated the Araripina II and Via Mangue substations. There are still two more under construction: PetroLine III e Maria Farinha.
