Climate tech Nextron and C6 Bank entered into a partnership to offer solar energy by subscription to the bank's customers and obtain savings of up to 15% on their electricity bill. Individual customers can subscribe to the service at no cost and without the need to install any type of equipment.

Nextron plays the role of connecting solar plants to energy distribution companies, making it possible to offer discounts to end consumers, without any cost or need for loyalty.

This energy is produced in a sustainable way, inserted into the electrical grid and converted into cost savings for consumers. The company operates in 11 Brazilian states, including Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Goiás, Bahia, Mato Grosso do Sul and São Paulo (with the exception of the capital).

“On the C6 Bank side, customers will have exclusive access to the renewable energy solution with a monthly discount on their electricity bill, without the need for installations or investment in solar panels. Nextron will have access to a large user base to accelerate our business”, explains Ivo Pitanguy, CEO and founder of Nextron.

According to him, the objective of the partnership is to offer climate tech's digital solution to the bank's entire individual customer base, which already exceeds 25 million.

According to Maxnaun Gutierrez, head of products for individuals at C6 Bank, the partnership is the result of a synergy identified between the parties, mainly in the ESG pillar.

“We have been working on socio-environmental issues on different fronts and we are happy to offer our customers a solution that brings together savings on energy bills and reduces environmental impact”, he says.

After customers send information to Nextron, through the C6 Bank app or website, and validation is completed, they can save on their electricity bills, manage consumption, have access to invoices and payments in an integrated manner .

The system also projects how much the consumer can save over a 12-month period, showing sustainable indicators, such as the number of trees saved in that period.
